Download Lightning Assist

1. Run the downloaded Lightning-Assist-Setup file.
2. If SmartScreen appears, click “More info” → “Run anyway” — the installer is digitally signed.
3. The app opens when setup finishes — sign up in the app to start your free trial.

1. Open the .dmg and drag Lightning Assist into Applications.
2. First launch: right-click the app → Open (needs macOS 12 or newer).
3. Grant the Accessibility permission when asked — text expansion doesn't work without it.

.deb (x64)

1. Install it with: sudo apt install ./lightning-assist_*_amd64.deb (or double-click → Software Install). All dependencies come in automatically.
2. Launch “Lightning Assist” from your applications menu.

.tar.gz (x64)

1. Extract the downloaded archive (double-click → Extract).
2. Double-click the extracted "Lightning Assist" AppImage — it runs directly, no chmod needed.

AppImage (x64)

1. Make it executable: right-click → Properties → allow executing, or run: chmod +x "Lightning Assist*.AppImage".
2. No libfuse2 needed: the AppImage ships its own runtime. If double-clicking does nothing, run it from a terminal to see the message, or use the .deb.
3. Still won't open (Ubuntu 24.04+)? Use the .deb instead — it sets up the system sandbox automatically.
